Well, as the back-to-school season usually is, it’s been quite the busy week. I’ve had a post in my mind I’ve wanted to do for a couple of days now, but I’m just finally finding the time to do so. With so much going on, you always tend to get overwhelmed within your own life that you forget to pause and be grateful for what and who you have around you.
I have been constantly reminded of the overwhelming amount of love I have in my life this past week. I’m so grateful for the people that have just been there, whether it was to sit and complain with me, shoot me a text, or go out of their way to cheer me up. In busy, stressful times, it’s always nice to have people there to encourage you and remind you of why you’re doing what you’re doing.
I’ve gotten kind of upset, though, looking at a few of the people that surround me. Negativity creeps into all of our lives from time to time, but it usually disappears after a little. Lately, I’ve seen negativity creep in and settle down, causing people to say and do things that just make them look spiteful. There are so many more important things in life than making fun of people you don’t know well enough to not like. If there are true issues, they can be taken care of in mature manners. People my age are no longer allowed to get away with catty, petty behavior. It’s time to grow up and appreciate the people around you and the presence they hold. You never truly know what someone is going through just by looking at them from afar, and I can’t emphasize that enough. Be grateful for the exact place you are in life and the people around you, and give thanks to those who help and inspire you. As long as you have those people, nobody else really matters.
