These past couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster for me, so in turn, the music I’ve been listening to has been all over the charts. There’s also been some great new releases or artists just starting to make it bigger, so I wanted to give you a big overview of music this week. I’ve also been talking a lot with one of my best friends, Chelsea, about new music to listen to, so thank you to her for some of these bomb song ideas!
Tennessee – Kiiara: You probably know Kiiara from her current single “Gold” that’s been hitting the charts, but she’s got quite a few great songs on her most recent album “low kii savage”. My current favorite is Tennessee!
Cold Water – Major Lazer: Justin Bieber, along with MØ, sings vocals on the newest Major Lazer song, and you can be positive this is one you’ll be hearing quite a bit of in the upcoming weeks.
Figure Me Out – The Summer Set: I have always LOVED The Summer Set, and they just released some new music! Figure Me Out is basically every young adult’s life of trying to figure out who we are and what we’re doing.
Vice – Miranda Lambert: As if I couldn’t adore Miranda any more, then she goes and releases this awesome single. It’s raw, it’s real, it’s very impressive.
Ruin – Shawn Mendes: I don’t typically love Shawn’s music, but I really like this song. It’s a bit slower, but it really shows off his talent as an artist.
U Only Call Me When It’s Raining Out – gnash: Honestly, I found gnash because of i hate u, i love you (which I’ve featured on a past Music Monday), but after looking into more of his music, I have become obsessed. Currently have U Only Call Me When It’s Raining Out on repeat, but he has a ton of other great songs too. Definitely check him out.
Molly – Lil Dicky feat. Brendon Urie: Okay, so the song itself is really, really good, but the music video just adds another perspective on the entire meaning.
